From the beginning it was decided that the website should function as a piece of artwork in its own right. Something to explore, to be negotiated and enjoyed. Inspiration came from the artists team visioning day, where a number of key themes emerged. These included ‘hovering’, ‘invisibility’, ‘sight lines’ and ‘flight paths’.
This has led Maxine Hall to create a site that has a feeling of translucence and space - something through which one could journey and encounter surprises along the way. ‘Empty’ boxes reveal themselves, when the mouse ‘hovers’ over. The lines of our sight are mimicked through simple graphic devices. The colours of the menu are taken from a pallet originated by local art students.
