the design team

was established by Charnwood Borough Council to bring together key representatives involved in the planning, design and building of the Hallam Fields development. The team’s original brief was to secure a high quality development, involve existing local communities, provide a safe and secure environment, ensure that the car does not dominate and to secure provision of public art.
The team meets bi monthly and has been recognised and awarded for its groundbreaking approach to the development process. Whilst facilitating very practical matters, it also offers a platform for discussion of ideas and is a vital hub in the development of partnerships and methodologies for Hallam Fields.
The team recognises and values individual expertise and collectively builds a shared vision for the quality and ambition of the Hallam Fields public art works.
